PTO Database
The database is a resource used by the PTO to maintain a list of all families within the district. The database includes names, addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and each child's class assignment. This information is used to create the PTO Buzz Book and other reports and helpful information that are used by many PTO committee chairpersons and class parents. Different levels of access to these reports and information are given based on PTO roles.
A chairperson exists for each school who needs to act as a liason between the Web Developer and the PTO. The chairpersons also train new database users, coordinate the August and September database update process, provide Buzz Book order forms for back-to-school packets, and update new student/family information as it becomes available during the school year from the Welcoming Committee and from kindergarten registration.
