Summer Band - 2008

Dear Parents:
Our summer enrichment course is available to new musicians and current band student, grades 4 through 12, who wish to continue and preserve their instrumental skills. The program runs two, three and four weeks. A 45 minute lesson and band rehearsal will be scheduled for all Intermediate, Advanced and H.S. students. Each beginner band member will attend a half hour lesson and a theory class. Lessons and band will meet every day, Monday through Friday.
Parents: We took your suggestion! The Intermediate and Advanced groups will attend two 45 minute classes to allow for better retention on the more difficult music and skills. Beginners will stay at 60 minutes to start. 30 minute group piano has also been added this year as well as a beginner guitar class.
Dates: June 30, 2008 through July 24, 2008 (no class Fri. 7/4/08)
Final Concert 10:00 am. (date TBD)
Location: Central School - 90 Central Ave. Stirling, NJ Cost: $225.00 per student (see details on other side)

1.) Jazz Band instrumentation includes: alto, tenor and baritone saxophones, trumpet, trombone, piano (advanced level only), bass, guitar and drums. Instrumentation is limited. Acceptance is on a first come first serve basis.
2.) Jazz Band participation fees are as follows:
Jazz band in addition to the full program- additional cost $65.00
Jazz Band participation ONLY - registration cost $85.00
3.) Second band instrument lesson in addition to the full program -$65.00
4) You may still participate in the program even if you will be away for part of the time. We are flexible with our schedule however it is not meant to be a sale price. Please use this option only if you have a severe scheduling issue. The more days that the children are present the better.
Part time fees include participation for up to ten days for $150.00.
5.) There will be no refunds after June 20, 2008
6.) 30 minute small group piano lessons will be offered this year. The class will meet each day. Students will be grouped by ability.
